Am I going bald?
Each morning I check
A new angle in the mirror
Is that spot of scalp
Becoming clearer?
In my thirties I fretted
That my hair was thinning
But it was just bad lighting;
Or was that the beginning?
Perhaps in my forties
It was a tad less thicker
And I think the drain
Clogged a bit quicker
And now here we are
And I really shouldn’t care
But hey it’s a part of me
And I love my hair!
I tell myself change is good
As it starts to fall away
And now I smile at those bald spots
In between the gray.
