Fans relive the glory days of Pokémon Go

Chicago played host to the Pokémon Go Festival, an opportunity for fans to play and find community.

Over the weekend, tens of thousands of people descended on Chicago to celebrate their love of Pokémon Go, the mobile game that took the world by storm ten years ago. 

Tech expert Omar Gallaga was among them, enjoying one of several Pokémon Go festivals around the world.

Highlights from this segment:

– Between 40,000 and 90,000 Pokémon Go enthusiasts searched for the characters in Grant Park and around Chicago, as well as attending other events and exhibits.

– A tongue-in-cheek Pokémon fossil exhibit was another highlight of the weekend. 

– Players found community, along with rare Pokémon items.
